Nathan Busscher bio picture

My Passion

Nathan started photography from a young age, as most photographers do. However, the spark didn't really ignite until much later in life. It all started when he got married and hired a photographer to document his Hawaii wedding. The twist came when the photographer he hired arranged to have a second photographer shoot the wedding as well. That second shooter happened to be a couple. So, one photographer turned into three. Nathan and his wife felt like celebrities being chased by the paparazzi all day. It was a great experience and he knew from that point he wanted to kick start his photography career (being a model wasn't an option... bald men in their 30's don't get modeling jobs).

This experience led to purchasing the latest digital slr with a range of professional lenses, reading every photography book he could get his hands on and emersing himself in everything photography related.

An african safari soon followed which further fueled the passion for photography. Travel has always been a obsession for Nathan and pairing the two were a winning combination.

However, it wasn't until Nathan entered a studio for the first time did he find his true calling. Being a part of the process to shoot new and experienced models, dancers, and other artists was where he really shined. Under the guidance of professional photographer Tim Porter, he learned the tricks of the trade while putting his own unique spin on the creative process.

Prints

Printed with archival ink (lasts 100+ years), on high grade photo paper (several choices available) using a professional Epson printer.  Prints must be one of the professionally edited selections.  The picture will delivered unframed.  Please contact me for framing options.

Special Offer: The Killer Portfolio

This package consists to 3 sessions over 3 different weekends. You can choose all studio sessions or a combination of studio and on location shoots. When your three sessions are completed you will have over 10 different looks with enough amazing shots to create the Killer Portfolio.

  • Initial consultation to discuss what type of portfolio you want to create. Discuss wardrobe, style, review samples of past clients, decide what combination of studio vs location shots, and arrange the time and place for the 3 sessions.
  • 3 x 3 hour sessions (all sessions have a professional makeup artist)
  • Personalized website with at least 100 of the best photos from the 3 shoots. The 100+ photos will be professional edited ready to go straight onto the cover of any fashion magazine.
  • Professional leather bound Portfolio. Perfect to show to talent agencies.  From the 100+ photos the model will need to choose no more than 20 photos for your portfolio. These photos will be optimized for printing on the best professional quality A4 paper. Different paper is used based on the content of the image. The selected photos will all be printed and arranged in the leather bound portfolio.
  • CD (and/or online web gallery) of 100+ professionally edited photos plus smaller resolution files of all the unedited images.
  • 100 unique business cards with selected files from your shoot on one side and your contact details on the other. Great to give out to friends, agencies, etc.
  • The portfolio, mini cards, CD will all be delivered within 3-4 weeks after you select your top 20 photos for your portfolio.

Price – 180,000 yen

*A location of your choice can be substituted for the studio at no additional charge (I can also suggest some appropriate locations based on the desired look). If travel outside of the Tokyo area is required, transportation fees may apply.
